When Mêlée Travels cancels the trip, i.e. the organizer
We will refund the full amount of the reservation. However, if the cancellation is due to force majeure, we can offer compensatory vouchers for the amount of the booking.
This is always subject to any current regulations that may be applied by the state administration, such as the new regulations by COVID-19.
When you cancel the trip, i.e. the customer or consumer:
When Mêlée Travels acts as organiser and direct responsible for the trip:
Cancellation fees:
- Three months prior to embarkation, with no cancellation fees for the "Crewed" product. For the product for private groups, "Crewed", cancellation fees charged by the local suppliers contracted by Mêlée Travels for the implementation of the trip, if any.
- Between two and three months prior to embarkation, 30% booking fees for the seat-to-place product. For the product for private groups, "Crewed", the cancellation fees charged by the local suppliers contracted by Mêlée Travels for the implementation of the trip, if any.
- Between one and two months prior to embarkation, 50% booking fees for the seat to seat product. For the product for private groups, "Crewed", the cancellation fees charged by the local suppliers contracted by Mêlée Travels for the implementation of the trip, if any.
- One month or less before embarkation, 100% booking fees for the product on a seat by seat basis. For the product for private groups, "Crewed", cancellation fees charged by the local suppliers contracted by Mêlée Travels for the implementation of the trip, if any.
Management fees:
- Those generated from the working time used to make the booking.
When Mêlée Travels does not act in the first person, as organiser and seller of the trip, and only acts as a mediator between the client and the final supplier in the contracting of services:
This includes airline tickets, hotels, car hire, boat hire, excursions, transport, etc.
Cancellation fees:
The cancellation costs charged by the providers of the services contracted by the client.
Management fees:
Those generated from the working time used to make the booking.
Cancellations by COVID-19:
Travel agencies that have cancelled any of their own products, where they are the organisers and directly responsible for the trip, because of COVID-19, are allowed to issue vouchers to customers for the amount paid for the trip booking.
These vouchers can be used within one year of the end of the state of alert. If they are not used within this period, the consumer, i.e. you, may exercise the right of reimbursement. See Royal Decree-Law 11/2020 of 31 March.
