What do we do?
Now you can book boat rental in Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza with all organised services and we take care of everything.
It is the all-inclusive "Crewed" mode which you can see in later tabs. In this navigation mode you don't have to worry about anything and we take care of all the logistics of the trip so that you have a great time.
You and your group can also opt for the charter of a sailing boat or catamaran in the "Bareboat mode (only boat + skipper if needed). In this mode, you will have to manage the logistics of the trip at the destination with our instructions.
The "Bareboat" is the most widespread sailing for private groups with a smaller budget, being more economical than the "Crewed" sailing.
When you choose to charter a boat in "Bareboat" mode you hire a single service and not an organised tour with the local end-supplier who owns the vessel.
In this type of booking, the agencies are not the direct organisers of the trip, but rather mediators between the final supplier and you.
Even so, we will accompany you by the hand to the end of the journey as if we were you, and we will give you support throughout the booking process and during the days of the trip:

The coves from Palma to Andratx, and to the east, the long beaches from Colonia de Sant Jordi to Ses Salinas, are perfect for exploring from your boat. If the weather is good, you can even take the chance to explore the imposing Tramuntana mountain range and reach the very special Cala Sa Calobra, also spending a night in Puerto de Sóller.
The highlight of the itinerary is that the route from Palma is the only one that allows you to make the essential visit to the island of Cabrera and its national park, where you can enjoy a practically untouched natural setting.

Highlights
Sóller
Sóller is located in the northwest part of Mallorca, in the Serra de Tramuntana, in the valley of gold or orange trees.
The most beautiful way to get there is from Puerto de Sóller. A tram dating back to 1912 connects the 27 km in 1 hour between Puerto de Sóller and Sóller.
Traditional village in the mountains, full of narrow streets, where you will also see some palaces and stately homes. Highly recommended to visit.
Sa Calobra Cove
A large bay with two beaches in the middle of the Serra de Tramuntana, on the northwest coast of the island.
A remote place, where large cliffs rise up to give way to a small sandy beach about 20 metres long.
A very mystical place, where it is a must to spend a night at anchor, weather permitting.
Palma de Mallorca
Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the island and where all the tourists arrive. It is very well located, at the end of a large bay facing south, where it enjoys great shelter.
The main points of interest are the Cathedral, with its imposing façade facing the sea, the Almudaina Palace, the fish market and the Plaza Mayor.
The best place to rent your boat with skipper and explore the surroundings.
Cabrera Maritime-Terrestrial National Park
The Cabrera Maritime-Terrestrial National Park comprises the island of Cabrera in its entirety, as well as its surrounding waters. The fact that it is a national park has made possible the conservation of its environment, thus avoiding the presence of uncontrolled mass tourism.
We are at the best snorkelling spot of your trip. We will have our snorkelling equipment ready to try to spot as many species as possible.
Es Trenc beach and Punta Salines
The long beach of Es Trenc, in the southeast of the island of Mallorca, is a fantastic place to go ashore with a dinghy and spend a few hours lying on the sand. Its shallow depth and white sand are ideal for swimming.
A little further south we reach Punta Salinas. An area far away from everything, where the massification has not arrived due to its difficult access. We can anchor with practically no boats in the surrounding area.
Port of Andratx
Andratx is a picturesque natural harbour, in the southwest of the island of Mallorca, with a great deal of nautical activity. It is a very good place to moor your boat and visit its surroundings.
Originally a traditional fishing village, it has now given way to a holiday resort with plenty to do. Dining at sunset in one of the restaurants overlooking the bay is a real treat.
Dragonera Island
The island of Sa Dragonera is part of the Dragonera Natural Park. Considered an island of lighthouses and legends, we recommend a visit by disembarking at the small pier of Es Lladó.
From here you can take short walks to observe its fauna and flora, as well as to reach some of its lighthouses. A nice visit.
Southwest Coves Mallorca
The southwest coast of Mallorca, from Cap de Cala Figuera to the island of Dragonera, is a series of beautiful coves perfect for anchoring pleasure boats.
In high season there can be a large number of sailing boats and catamarans, so you should look for a good place to anchor.

Snorkel
In the course of the trip we will look for the most privileged places for a good snorkel from the sailboat.
The best place without discussion is the natural park of Cabrera, where you can find the best snorkelling for a few hundred miles. For sure you will be able to discover a multitude of species in its waters.
Trekking
The paths that connect beaches and coves are common on these islands, the so-called "caminos de ronda". These paths often rise up out of the terrain and offer beautiful views of the coastline.
The excursion to the top of the fortress on the island of Cabrera is one of them.
Swimming
The early morning swim is the most pleasurable of the day, as well as a luxury available to few. All you have to do is put on your swimming costume and jump off your sailboat.
Cultural Visits
During the crossing there are some cultural visits. Among them, the castle on the island of Cabrera, which was used to watch out for North African pirates. And the essential village of Sóller, deep in the Serra de Tramuntana.

It is a cove much appreciated by the boats, as it is one of the few places where there are almost no tourists on the shore. Moreover, at night, being surrounded by its walls is a very mystical spectacle. Undoubtedly a very special place.
Village of Binibeca
Binibeca is a small village of white houses made up of private villas and flats. Its charming design attracts people from all over the island and, to this day, it is one of its attractions. A nice visit if you are nearby.
Puerto de Pollensa and Pollensa
During the charter week there is also time for you to visit the odd typical Mallorcan village. Once the yacht is moored in Puerto de Pollensa, at the end of the bay, you will have time to visit its main village, Pollensa, just a few kilometres inland. The night we are anchored in Cales Coves you can go out for a drink at the famous Cova d'en Xoroi. This disco-pub perched on a cliff is located inside a cave.
It is a nice place to watch the sunset with a drink in your hand and good chill-out music. There is a small excursion from the sailboat to the beach. Highly recommended.

The south coast of Menorca has some of the best coves in the whole of the Mediterranean. The turquoise blue water, the white sand and the backdrop of pine forests all fit into this picture. It will be difficult to pick a favourite.

Walking up the narrow cobbled streets from the harbour, you will reach the Plaza d'es Bornwhere you can find the beautiful town hall building, some palaces of the nobility of the time and the Saura Tower Neoclassical style.
Walking through its streets is a marvel and a must on the island.

Crewed mode
Hire a boat in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza with all inclusive and forget about dealing with suppliers at destination local.
In "Crewed, all-inclusive" mode we are direct organisers and do not delegate to third parties. We use our own crew on the voyages and are directly responsible for the smooth running of the voyages.
At Mêlée Travels we offer "Crewed" product from any base located in the Balearic Islands with available fleet..
In the "Crewed" mode, you pay a closed price which includes the boat rental with skipper as compulsory service.
There are also other optional services, such as the cook, half-board or aquatic equipment.
The remaining expenses, such as fuel, moorings and food, among the most significant, are paid at destination. This way you get pay only the exact amount consumed.
A catamaran hire in Majorca, Minorca and Ibiza works particularly well when a crew of skipper and cook have to be accommodated on board. Its large dimensions make it possible to accommodate crew and passengers on board without any problem.

Dates
Boat rentals in Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza are for a minimum duration of one week, but can be for more weeks, provided that 7-day multiple. From Saturday to Saturday throughout the season.
Only outside of the summer season do the providers allow boats to be chartered for single days, not multiple days of 7. March, April, October, November, for example.
The embarkation time is Saturday at 16-18h in the afternoon and you disembark the next Saturday at 9h at the latest. Spending the last night of the yacht charter trip from Friday to Saturday already moored in port.
If you are a private group you can embark and disembark whenever you want, as long as you are within your charter week.
Methods of payment
At the time of booking you have to pay 50% of the boat charter price. The remaining 50% is to be paid one month before the date of embarkation.
Some providers allow a 40% on booking and a 60% one month prior to boarding, but this is not common.
In COVID times, some suppliers are allowing a 20% at booking and an 80% one month prior to shipment.
The rest of the requested extras you pay for on arrival, although some suppliers allow you to pay for them in advance as well:
- Skipper.
- Cook.
- Aquatic equipment such as snorkelling equipment, paddle surf boards.
- Any other extra you have ordered.
- The costs of fuel, moorings and food you pay for them during the week.
- Suppliers require a security deposit to proceed with the rental of the boat. The client, i.e. you, must pay a deposit to cover any possible damages. The most common: breakage of furniture, loss of equipment at sea and blockage of toilets.
All other hypothetical damage to the boat, such as damage to the hull, sails, rigging or navigation equipment, shall be borne by the skipper.

There are direct flights to and from Palma de Mallorca from most of the peninsula. Then a taxi or public transport can take you to the exact boarding point.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Expenses during the voyage
Expenses you can expect to incur during a one-week crossing are around 100 euros per person, but this is relative and depends on the traveller:
- Transport, bus or taxi on the first day.
- Restaurants during the week. At least 3 dinners out.
- Souvenirs.
- Extra activities.
Telephone and internet
Voice and data coverage on the phone during the crossing is not always guaranteed although internet will be available in most places.
Medical expenses

The trip itself has been good, for the places we have been able to enjoy and without a doubt for the company, but we would not repeat with this company, we had chosen precisely this one based on the comments and in our case they have not adjusted to reality.
- Poor food, it had the feeling of being in a camp, with a daily pasta menu with very basic preparations, the breakfasts were also very scarce. Luckily in port we were buying bread and pasta ourselves so we could have a proper breakfast. We already know that the cook who usually makes the voyage failed and the new one was not used to those tasks on a ship, but I believe that we passengers should not pay for these inconveniences. The same thing refers to the disorder and lack of cleanliness in the kitchen. Thank Lucia and Lourdes, two crew members who took charge of the kitchen and solved much of the problem.
- All week without air conditioning due to a breakdown. We are in the month of July and it was really overwhelming to sleep in the port with so much heat at night.
Finally, this is a trip of high economic value and we consider that we should have received better attention from MeleTravels, by exposing the problems we have encountered, everything has been missed without assuming any fault.
- Poor food, it had the feeling of being in a camp, with a daily pasta menu with very basic preparations, the breakfasts were also very scarce. Luckily in port we were buying bread and pasta ourselves so we could have a proper breakfast. We already know that the cook who usually makes the voyage failed and the new one was not used to those tasks on a ship, but I believe that we passengers should not pay for these inconveniences. The same thing refers to the disorder and lack of cleanliness in the kitchen. Thank Lucia and Lourdes, two crew members who took charge of the kitchen and solved much of the problem.
- All week without air conditioning due to a breakdown. We are in the month of July and it was really overwhelming to sleep in the port with so much heat at night.
Finally, this is a trip of high economic value and we consider that we should have received better attention from MeleTravels, by exposing the problems we have encountered, everything has been missed without assuming any fault.
